love this book. I absolutely love this book because it is a passport to
being over there. It is like walking through the lion, the witch and the
wardrobe. Itís like walking in and being on the other side and all of
the sudden you are there after reading this book. We are experiencing what
you are experiencing through your eyes. You do a great job writing this
because you bring the reader right in and you donít talk down to the
reader. There are only a few things that can do what your book has done to
me. Iím telling you right now, this book totally immersed me. It
literally takes you to another place.

just finished reading your book today. I wanted to drop you a line letting
you know how important it was for me and how much it meant. It was serious
therapy to read it. I laughed out loud and I cried out loud. You did such
a nice job. A lot of my family members and coworkers bought their own copy
because they want to read it right away too. You did a fabulous job.

I don't usually post reading recommendations on my web page, but after reading "Surviving Twilight" by Shane Bernskoetter, I thought I should share this book with others. Written in a day by day journal format, I never thought reading someone's journal could be so entertaining. Shane writes with a wit that will keep you turning pages. His descriptions of people and places put you right there with him through his experiences in Iraq. This book is for anyone that wants to know what life is really like for a solider deployed to Iraq and anyone else just looking for a good read. I highly recommend this book.
